Colfax Elem. School District Sues Placer CRA for Opposing Tax Increases

The Colfax Elementary School District filed suit against the Placer CRA and others in Aug only to then withdraw that suit. The school district’s filing was in an attempt to quash the PCRA’s opposition statement filed with the state to an upcoming bond measure on the Nov. 4th ballot. See an article in the ‘Colfax Record’ about their efforts as of Aug. 28. Frankly, it is worrisome (putting it mildly) when government even at the smallest levels attempts to engage in suppression of citizen’s free speech rights.
